  1. Yes, I have been. The ice cream is good with a nice range of flavors. It isn't as rich as some of the premium store brands. It is a nice addition to West Concord. I wish my company wasn't moving to Waltham in two weeks. :( I agree the name is odd. It doesn't connote ice cream.

I dunno - the name doesn't NOT connote ice cream, and it's not unappetizing or anything. Besides, I'm an Ian Dury fan, so I like it.

There is some precedent for non-ice-cream-connoting names. My favorite ice cream shop is Dr. Mike's in Bethel, CT. The name comes from the owner, who was formerly a dentist, but then defected.

Sounds promising. Thanks for the heads-up.

As far as names go, my favorite place is Meletharb in Wakefield. Not exactly evocative of a delicious cone but boy is that ice cream creamy.

      2. The proprietor has been working for a long time to get this store opened. My friend across the street is thrilled that it is bringing more people to W Concord. I hope you give it a try and let us all know how it is!

Arg, you beat me to it! *shakes fist* That's the first thing I thought of, 1, 2, 3.

Is this related to the hot dog joint, Hit Me with your Rhythm Stick?

Das is gut... hit me, hit me, hit me.

              Personally: I'm spasticus, I'm spasticus...

Speaking of Peppermint, I actually saw Ian Dury at the Peppermint Lounge in NYC in 1980 ? something.

Maybe they have Rhythm (Peppermint) Stick ...?
