Help me choose Sushi place....Shibuya? Little Budha? Nobu? MOzen? Raku? Social House? Sushi Roku?

Help us choose a sushi place....we love sushi and there are just too many choices.

We have been to Nobu and loved it but we have one here in CA. Went to the one at Planet Hollywood and was sorely disappointed...even forgot the name of the restaurant.

After researching..these restaurants seem to come up as highly rated and recommended...what's your
take....where should we go?

OR is there a place where all the locals go for the best sushi?

  1. That is not an easy list to narrow down. First, note that Raku does not focus on Sushi, but when they do have something on the specials board it is almost always sublime. So if they make your short list, you may want to call ahead first to see what is available that evening. Sen of Japan (8480 West Desert Inn Road) has been near the top of most local's lists on this board through the years, and has earned that spot. RM Seafood at Mandalay Bay also does an excellent job of sourcing fresh product.

    1. In my opinion the best sushi in Las Vegas is Bar Masa @ Aria, but the prices are outrageous. Below that I would choose Yellowtail (Bellagio) or Shibuya (MGM).

      1. Go to Raku and hope they have a good selection of sashimi that night. If your stuck on going to a sushi restaurant, go to Sen of Japan as another poster recommended. In my 25+ years of going to Las Vegas sushi places have done nothng but disappoint. And while I am sure Masa is good (like here in NYC) I will never spend that much money to eat sushi.

        1. Try Sage Sushi at Craig, and Rancho way up on the North end of town. We usually do the all you can eat for $27. My friend who was stationed in Japan for over 10 years, is married to a Japanese gal, and ate lots of sushi over there commented that he had the best sushi at Sage .
