Tifton, GA -- dinner and breakfast

Looking for non-chain places for dinner and breakfast in the Tifton area--BBQ is OK for dinner, but any unique Chowy place would be fine. Thanx for any info and reccs.

Next time you head down, here are a few places in Tifton to try: Pit Stop BBQ is good. Charles Seafood is one of my favorite places (very low key- food served on styrofoam plates, fried seafood and cheese grits). 3 Graces is in the old Langford Manor, a beautiful setting and good food. There's a fried chicken shack down the road from Charles' that's pretty decent, I think it's called Marla's but not sure.

It's not a restaurant-but north of Tifton in Cordele, right off I75, check out Striplings General Store. They make their own sausage & jerky. It's like a slice of meat heaven.

For those in the future looking for a dinner place right off the freeway between Atlanta and the FLA border, look no further and scope out the Coconut Asian Bistro in Tifton.They even have a big billboard on I-75 long before the exit so you don't miss it. Looks kinda dinky on the outside, but don't let that fool ya. but we ordered quite a few dishes and all were great. My main entree was ordered a 4 out of 6 heat level and wasn't that hot, so if you really like it fiery, emphasize that.
