Pit Beef sandwiches in the Baltimore metro area?

Where have you found juicy, tasty pit beef that is thinly sliced and not dry? Good bread is a plus, too, as is really fresh horseradish! (Route#40 east, seems to have many places.)

Hi Kamandra - this is one of the topics most often discussed here, probably right behind where to get the best crab cake and where to eat at the Inner Harbor. It is one of the signature foods of Baltimore. If you use the search feature here on the DC-Baltimore board, you will find lengthy threads which will certainly give you a lot of info.

Actually, Steve is right (as usual) - the horseradish I mentioned is actually horseradish sauce called Tiger Sauce.

And yep Pioneer is the best, although, Beef a low Bob, Off Mountain Road is very good too, and open on Sunday.

Pioneer Pit Beef. Medium rare. Not open Sundays. Don't know about the horseradish, though, I use Tiger Sauce.
