Ladies Bday Lunch near Monroe

Hi - I am trying to plan a special birthday luncheon for my mom somewhere not too far from Monroe, NJ. I think there will be about 20 guests, just about all seniors. I don't want them to have to travel too far, but I am not really that familiar with too many places in the area.

It will be a weekday lunch, about a month from now I think.

Thanks so much for any and all suggestions!

La Villa on Applegarth. They just put in a new room. Above average food for your standard italian place. You wonder how they make a profit on the prices they charge.

I like the three below but if you're on a budget, La Villa.

    Ouzo portions are insane.

      A couple of suggestions:
Taverna Ouzo - on Applegarth Road in Monroe - A very good Greek restaurant. It won't be crowded for lunch and very good food.

Fiddlehead's in Jamesburg - small homey restaurant with good food

Blue Rooster Cafe in Cranbury - very quaint place in a Victorian home

Blue Rooster had some flood damage from the hurricane, you might want to check with them before going...plus if there are "mobility issues" it may not be the best option (parking on street, some steps to go up) although it is charming.
My in laws (seniors) like Fiddleheads, it's probably a good choice for your group.
