Who sells peanut oil in bulk in Toronto? Any suggestions?

I need a few gallons of peanut oil to deep fry a turkey. I tried Costco and had no luck. Suggestions?

Five Guys uses peanut oil produced by Cargill. It is a boxed 17 liter plastic jug. There is an 800 number on the box, but I didn't take it down.

Incidentally, the peanuts at Five Guys are continuing to go down hill.

Yeah, they have big containers and customers can help themselves. Not a place for someone with a peanut allergy that is for sure!

We were in the same situation a few years ago and we finally bought it at T & T.

I would expect Bass Pro Shops or maybe the larger Asian supermarkets to carry it. Alternatively if you cross-border shop, we find the best price for it at Aldi or Sam's Club.

Call JonVince , which took over Planters some many years ago, for advice. Also Sysco, which is huge. Five Guys Burgers uses peanut oil for its fries.
Do you have any idea of how expensive a few gallons of peanut oil will be? What will you do with the oil after?

You will go into shock I think. And I don't mean anaphylactic.

Give Bass Pro at Vaughan Mills a call. I recall that they had a selection of Turkey Fryers, bulk oil and what you need to drain, filter and store the oil after you have used it.

Thank you! I bought 6 gallons. They come in 3-gallon jugs at $45 each. Great advice!

Glad it worked out. Let us know how the turkey tuns out!

And be very very careful! Believe it or not serious fires start from this all the time.
