San Francisco Bay Area

Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in the SF Bay Area (including Berkeley, Oakland, Napa, Sonoma, Marin, and San Jose)

Between SF and Hayward....

Gotta do a friend a favor and drive out to Hayward tomorrow. Any must-eats for a City girl who doesn't get to East Bay much? Otherwise I'll probably end up grabbing a burger at Val's. I'd much rather get a great bowl of soup noodles, a tasty falafel, or some really great Korean food (spicy cold noodles, anywhere?)

TIA

  1. Val's is closed on Sun. I don't have anything to recommend in Hayward. I like QQ Noodle in Fremont for beef noodle soup or tomato egg noodle or tons of eats in Union City on Decoto/Alvarado Niles Blvd.

    1. If it's spicy cold noodles you crave, stop in Oakland at Pyung Chang Tofu House for naeng myun.

      1. Hi

In Hayward is Buon Apetito on A st, with good Italian, my fav is the Oso Buco made with lamb shank over polenta.

In San Leandro is Vo's on Parrot, have had lots of great stuff .

Also in Hayward is Buffalo Bills if you like beer, and they make a good salad. But take a miss on the Sushi Buffet across the street, not good.
