Suggestions for great eats in Paris, France

My wife and I will be in France for 4 days and nights in Novemer. Can anyone help us with recommendations on great places to eat? We are staying in the 1st Arrondisement but I imagine we will be in all the major tourist spots.

  1. Click to Upload a photo (10 MB limit)
  1. You need to tell us cost, style, location if important,, type of food, type of drink, any info would make our job a lot easier.

    1. I suggest you read through all the threads on this forum. That will give you a good idea what restaurants are being talked about and being frequented over and over again, as well as the prices and specialities.

Make a list of ten or so names that you've pulled from the threads that appeal to you from both a price and food perspective. Google the names online to see what the other reviewers are saying in print publications or food blog websites.

Narrow the list down to a handful and call and make reservations!

      1. Try Le Manege De L'ecuyer. Just a short walk from the Louvre. 6 Rue de la Sourdiere. 3 course price fix available for about 28euros, great value! Excellent food. French onion soup to die for. I had the goose breast, husband had steak. We loved them both. Desserts were excellent as well. It's very small, just a few tables. We were the only patrons during our visit. I was suprised since everything was so wonderful! The chef is the host and waiter as well. He doesn't speak English, but is very friendly and relaxed. I will definitely go back the next time I'm in Paris.
