Fish & chip special?

Pegmeister Oct 1, 2011 03:22 PM

I was at Sonny's in Adams Village tody and they had a special today that read "Buy one fish & chip for the price of two $20.95 and get the second fish & chip free" huh? The normal price of fish & chips on their menu is $11.95 and the daily special menu listed it for $10.95. I'm trying to include a photo I took of the 3 menus they handed me today, hopefully it will post. In any even what are your thoughts?

there is no way that is an honest mistake im guessing the person who put it together does not speak, read or understand english. Its to bad rests and retailers hire people without a clue

It's *to* bad? The irony of your post kills me!

I'm assuming it was an attempt at a joke.

Maybe they thought it was April 1st & not October 1st! ; )

I really like Sonny's they make a great steak & cheese in a toasted wrap, nice turkey club, decent burger etc. Really, when I saw the special I thought it was funny, and many were kidding the bartender about it, yet they still put that menu out along with the other 2 menus, all different prices. It's difficult to understand. Guess I'll stick with my steak & cheese.

Agree, appears like an attempt to play the idea of a BOGO.

On a related note, tried the fish and chips at Island Creek Oyster Bar last night and they are REALLY good. I like them at the Druid, but these were a mile better. Really great fries (not British style chips) and a flavorful beer batter. Loved em.

They are either trying to be funny OR trying to take advantage of some of their less "intelligent" (shall we say) clientele. Either way, sorta ridiculous.
