Not sure of best seafood in region - but defiantly the best chowder in on the Cape Breton Trail, NS - at Neil's Harbour - the Chower House - which is an old lighthouse converted. Spent last summer trying all chowders across NB and Nova Scotia and a few on PEI - and that was the best. Really thick with bacon, shrimp, lobster, crab and scallops. Been there 3 times now - and never disappointed. Seafood is pretty good too - old fashion but good and lots of it
