I am assuming this is a board to help people to have a great time in New York and great food. I have tried researching every site looking for help to have good food and a good time as I would try to help people coming to San Diego to find the great place's for food and fun where the local people eat and place's to go when you just want a great restaurant but not so expensive. It seems like unless you have 3 or $400.00 to spend there is not a good local restaurant in Manhattan. So here we go I would like to go out and have good homemade Italian and good Burgers where the locals go when they just what to have a reasonable meal Here are some of my choices what do you think.

For Italian Patsy's on 1st
Keste Pizzera
Patsy's W 56th
Rubirosa Mulberry
Capizzi 9th
Joe G's W56th
Also would love to find a sports bar with good food around Time Square as we are saying at the Westin. I have found Dalton's on 9th and Smith's Bar on 8th.

I would love to have some locals suggestions on good food that you love to go out to when you might not want to pay 3 or 400.00. If your give me suggestions I will be glad to research and see if this is something I want. I love Italian food. good burgers and Pizza. Thank You for your help.

Smith's Bar is a dump. Sports bars and Times Square are two things I don't know well, so I apologize for not making a better recommendation. However, look harder. You can find better than Smith's.

False! There are tons of good neighborhood restaurants in New York. But you need to go where people live/play. Get away from Times Square (a neighborhood where NYers typically go to work, to the theatre, and to entertain out of towners).

When you say $300-400, how many people are you paying for? A party of two? Four?

How much DO you want to spend per person, BEFORE tax, tip, wine/drinks? Is it $20pp for food only? $40pp?

For pizza, I recommend Patsy's Pizzeria in East Harlem (pies and slices, unrelated to the one on West 56th), Motorino (whole pies only), and John's of Bleecker (NOT the Times Square one, whole pies only).

You might try re-posting this as a couple different and more specific questions - "help with restaurants" is what the whole board is about. If you ask e.g. for "Good Italian food under $50 per person" you will likely get more replies (if only links to similar questions).
