Lunch spot very near 30th and Fulton in the Richmond District of SF / Hardly Strictly Bluegrass

Plan to put my blanket down at 10 am at the Star Stage at HSBG to see Kris and Merle and Irma Thomas later in the afternoon. I have time to kill until then and the food choices there are the usual predictable street fair vendors. Is there anywhere just outside the park around 30th, where I can get a decent lunch before I rough it to hear the music?

A little further down at 41st and Balboa is Yu-Zen. Great sushi, but service can be slow.

The closest neighbor to 30th/Fulton is near the Balboa and 34th to 38th. There's Shanghai Dumpling King, Shanghai House and Jook Time. There's also Chino's Taqueria (okay but subjective) and bunch of old school (un-trendy) places out there like Little Henry's, Kamm's, and some pizza/sandwich type places that serve Washington H.S. (not sure about weekends).

To me the only stand-outs are Shanghai Dumpling King and Shanghai House. Little Henry's is okay if you order conservatively and stay away from cream sauces. The Zephyr Cafe use to serve an okay sandwich and soup deal.

I didn't realize I would be so close to Shanghai Dumpling KIng. It's less than a mile from HSBG and liked it 3 years ago when I was attending a screening at the Balboa. Thanks!

How about inside the Park: The Moss Room at Cal Academy would not be roughing it, or, if the weather is pretty OK, the outside seating at the cafeteria at the DeYoung?
