Asian-style egg noodles downtown / ID / Belltown?

Which restaurants serve the best Asian egg noodles? Looking for a place where they make the noodles on site (preferably where customers can watch), and serve bowls both veggie and non-veggie. Have never had the real thing -- saw Anthonly Bourdain eating noodles in Hong Kong, and it looks like the kind of food that I would love. Visiting Seattle in October, and looking for great Asian food in the downtown area.

  1. There are no handmade places here - certainly not for Cantonese/Hong Kong style noodles.

The closest you will find to Hong Kong style egg noodles will be Mike's Noodle House, Hong Kong Bistro, and the place formerly known as Homestyle Hong Kong Cafe - all in the ID. If I remember correctly, Bourdain had the classic wonton noodles.

I like the noodle house, can't remember the name, right around the corner from Shanghai Garden in the ID--across the street from Ocean City and next to Tropic. The previous poster is correct, no handmade places. Shanghai Garden has hand shaven noodles, but I don't think they're egg noodles.

I guess Noodle King and the hand pulled noodles already closed. Missed that. Shanghai has hand shaven barley green noodles and plain. I don't know if the green noodles taste different, but I like to order them anyway.
PAO - Canton Wonton House is next to Tropics, correct?
