Apple picking: Golden Russetts?

Hey, anybody have suggestions for Montreal-region (or no more than 1 hour's drive) you-pick apple orchards that offer Golden Russetts (and Cox Pippins)?

My inlaws are coming to Quebec for Thanksgiving and want to go picking. FIL has Russetts in mind, I'm also hoping for Cox Pippins.

They had golden russets when I went here a few weeks ago, place in St. Joseph du Lac called Les Vergers Lafrance. But they only had them available in the front of the store along with royal galas and a few others.

The only three types of apples that they had available for apple picking were cortlands, mcintosh and spartans (personally my favourite of the three). It was $8 for the smaller bag and $13 for the bigger bag. A little bit more commercialized than others in the area but it was pretty fun when I went.

Thanks all, we ended up purchasing a bag at the roadside stand of one of the orchards in the village St-Joseph (forget which, it's near the T intersection). It turns out most orchards don't have a lot and prefer people not pick them for some reason.

I understand why they would not want people picking them if they don't have a lot. People pick an apple, take a bite and throw the rest of the apple on the ground. Then they go to another tree and another tree and another tree and do the same thing.

Ugh, it's too bad you can't go far out of the city...if things change I'm positive this beautiful abbey (perhaps two hours from Montreal close to Magog?) has Golden Russetts in the second week of October:

Click on Cueillette des pommes/apple picking 2011 and the details are there if a longer drive ends up being possible because it's truly beautiful...
