Best restaurant in Columbus, Ohio - regardless of price?
I'd like to buy a good friend of mine, and her husband, a gift certificate to a great restaurant in Columbus, OH or the surrounding area. Hopefully something romantic. This is a "thank you" gift. They never get to go out much b/c they have two kids. I don't care about the price. It's worth it!
I'm also open to doing a bed and breakfast that has a great restaurant.
I'd say, in terms of food, your best bets are:
Latitude 41 (which is inside the Renaissance Hotel, a great downtown hotel - we go there for staycations whenever we can)
I'm not aware of any B&Bs that have restaurants in Columbus proper
698 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43215
511 N High St, Columbus, OH 43215
50 North Third Street, Columbus, OH 43205
I'd recommend The Refectory. Classic French food, great service. Definitely not cheap, but it feels like a special occasion when you go there. www.therefectoryrestaurant.com
M is a Cameron Mitchell place that is about the prettiest decor-wise in the city. I'm not usually a chain-restaurant person, but it is very glamorous and the food is quite good. It's somewhere I'd go if given a gift certificate and love it, but I wouldn't take myself there. www.cameronmitchell.com
