Two Bellevue Evenings
So, I am coming to Bellevue for a conference next week. I have two free dinners to plan for my boss and myself. I'm willing to try anything, but my boss is a bit less adventurous (She wouldn't admit that, though.) Anything we should be sure to try out? Anything exceptional in Bellevue these days? I haven't been to the Eastside in several years, so I'm not sure about the scene these days. I'd say American, Asian, French are all "safe" for her.

The really exceptional restaurants on the East Side are in Kirkland. Are you willing to drive a bit? Don't know what your budget is, but Cafe Juanita is one of the best restaurants in the area. It's northern Italian. Trellis is Pacific Northwest and should not be considered "adventurous" although the food is good--the chef grows much of his own produce. But Trellis is not in the same league as Cafe Juanita, either in quality or in the pocket book.
