Just back from shopping at the Queensway COSTCO, had stopped for lunch and was pleasantly surprised to see they offer a chicken and apple salad for 6 bucks. Great alternative to all the carb heavy other offerings
The chicken was delicious and plentiful, but obviously made from the bbq chickens that didn't sell yesterday, suffers from too much salt. Remainder of the salad includes a variety of greens, pecans, dried cranberries and cheese. The dressing packet I believe was from Renees,a teriyaki looking like liquid. Very filling salad and worth the $.

Well I like the smoked meat sandwich they serve there as well (They use dunn's smoked meat which is decent). Not exactly healthy but their poutine is good for what you pay.

Friends who work at the Heartland warehouse say there are plans to expand beyond the old menu to include healthier, fresh foods. Thanks to the surrounding offices and warehouses, lunch is a big deal in the area.
