Need: Recipe for good hoagie bread
I used to live in Philly and love a good cheese steak. I have never been happy with store bought breads and seeing how I am improving my baking I figured I would try to make a good bread myself. I would prefer a recipe that called for a bread that wasn't too hard but not so soft its like a potato roll. Can't wait to give this a try!

Good recommendation, wish I could mass produce those for my local deli; they purchase the worst hero rolls (as we call them here.) And like the OP, I should make my own.
