Where to buy Fat FREE ricotta cheese

Could someone please help me find fat free ricotta cheese in GTA I have found lite ricotta but not fat free. Thank You.

    Thanks so much for your advise. I will try pulsing the fat free cottage cheese and will make a trip to the states to stock up. Appreicate the response.!!

      No problem! I have the same issue (lots of allergies / dietary restrictions) and the US just has so much more selection! I miss the soup selections they've got in particular!

      You can't - it's a labelling restriction up here, the standards are different for fat-free vs low-fat commercial dairy. You have two "real" options (if making your own from skim milk and one heck of a thickening agent is out of the question). One, go down to the US and buy some en masse - it usually freezes okay in my experience. The second is to buy skim-milk COTTAGE cheese and pulse it in a food processor a few times to get the texture you want. If you want "dry" ricotta, Western Creamery makes a "pressed cottage cheese" in fat free you can use.
