Food trucks in Jessup, MD. Any info?
During a semi-regular pilgrimage to R&R TaquerÃa in the Shell station at the intersection of rt. 175 and rt. 1 (go there now), I noticed the following, all within a mile or so of that location, scattered along the highways south and east of there:
-two taco trucks
-one pupusa truck
-one Korean truck (big sign: "BULGOGI")
-a BBQ stand
-a Dominican restaurant
I am intrigued. Anyone have any reports on these or other food spots in that area?
From an earlier report I made last Spring:
From the intersection of 175 and Rte 1 going south to Laurel, there were three taco trucks, spaced well apart. They are there until about 6pm on Sundays, maybe later on Saturdays. I ate only at the first one, El Poblanito, where I got a pork taco. The pork was red, coated in spices. It was nice, nothing exceptional, but this truck had very fine hand-made tortillas. The other two trucks looked good.
I also ate at Lily's Mexican Kitchen in a shopping center nearby. It's a steam table inside a market. There are a few chairs in a makeshift 'dining area.' Ingredients ranged from soupy to dry. Nice enough, nothing I'd go out of my way for, definitely below a very good taco truck.
