Best bread for tea sandwiches?

jkbeats Sep 27, 2011 03:29 PM

Looking for a nice thinly sliced white bread for tea sandwiches. A quick Google search revealed Pepperidge Farms makes the best bread (Very Thin White/Wheat), and then revealed its not available on the West Coast. I've called a few grocery stores and they all act like they have no clue what I'm talking about. Doesn't anyone make tea sandwiches in this city? Thanks for any advice!

You might consider the "Japanese" thin sliced white bread (Shoku Pan) available at Uwajimaya. They carry the Pan Amore brand and I think it's perfect for tea sandwiches. YUM. You can get thick or thin sliced and it's very nice and square, so you'll have little waste if you are cutting into triangles.
