Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and The Bronx

Quick question -- driving shortly to Richmond Hill (exit 6 van wyck) from Brooklyn. What is the tastiest thing I can eat en route / near destination?

    Since you're driving, Wafa's on Metropolitan (the back door of Forest Hills) is wonderful. Parking's not bad if you don't mind walking a block.

    Also, I recently checked out Tandoori Hut on 94th Avenue between 119th and 120th streets and found it to be quite tasty. Parking situation is similar to Wafa's (go down a block and you should find something).

    A good sandwich can be had at Manor Delicatessin (94-12 Jamaica Avenue). No place to sit though. Parking here is a little more difficult than the other two locations mentioned but still not horrible.

      Many thanks -- these are great tips.

      I unfortunately screwed up and chose Wafa's, which is closed today, and at that point was too far from Tandoori Hut to go back given my time frame.

      Now I know though, and look fwd to checking them out some other time.
