  1. Not sure whatbyou mean by authentic, but you might consider Nanni in Rochelle Park.

I don't know what you mean by "authentic" either, (Little here resembles what one eats in Italy) but for a good Italian American, Dimora in Norwood is a nice venue with nice Italian-American food. Rocca in Glen Rock is good as well, but I don't know how large a party they can handle.

    2. i too was going to say Rocca in Glen Rock- but not sure how many they can handle. Bottagra (it's Hawthorne, but pretty close) can handle big parties, Savini in Allendale. If you aren't set on Italian, might I suggest st eves in ho ho kus as they have a lovely party room, special menu and just overall lovely.

      1. Well, if by "authentic Italian Venue" then I would suggest Goodfellas in Garfield. I have not been there for a long time, but, the last time I was there the food was excellent. Maybe someone on the board has been there recently. They have their own parking lot for parking. Wishing Mom a happy 80th!

        1. I thought of an excellent place that I would really recommend:

          Sanducci's in River Edge.

We have been there 2 or 3 times since they moved to their new location and they have a private dining area for parties. They are the real deal when it comes to Italian food and atmosphere, too. Their new place is just lovely. I love their Chicken Cristina and their Farfalle con Vodka & Pepe. There a many other dishes, but, that's all I can think of at the moment. They have parking. Their food is delicious and authentic. They even make their own bread and their homemade biscottti is addictive.

I really like Bacari Grill in Washington. Have dined there a couple of times and they do have a nice private room that can accomodate your group. Terrific fare, nice location and attractive interior with pretty darn good service - and it attracts a 'unique' and eclectic crowd.

If you're there on a Thurs or Fri nite - they usually have live music and the locals enjoy themselves immensely as did I.
