Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in Manhattan

Restaurant for tonight - Union SQ

Looking for a place to eat around union sq tonight. The Union Square Cafe is a possible, but looking for something a little more casual and less pricey, but great food...going to theater so early dinner...could even be a great bar scene with tapas. Thanks for any suggestions.

  1. This is my usual recommendation for a request like yours: Craftbar, casual, quick (if you want it to be), very good food and great drinks. Without checking the menu again I think the prices have always been reasonable when we've gone.

      thx for the reccomendation, I just found out that the people we are going with have booked a table at Veritas..not cheap, but looks like a good menu.

    2. Blue Smoke is not too far from Union Square. Went last week after not having been in a long time. Skipped the bbq in favor of their burger, which is fabulous!
