What is the best Indian in Park Slope?
Hi. I realize I'm not getting authentic Indian in Park Slope, but sometimes you crave Indian and don't have time to leave the neighborhood. Surely the "best" we have isn't Baluchi's.... any suggestions?

We're real picky about our indian food (as in, making it at home) but the couple times weve ordered from Kinara on 5th and 11th (12th?) i thought they did a lot better job than baluchi's which i would probably refuse to eat.

Agree that there is no real "authentic" Indian in PS. Also agree that Kinara does the best job of the lot. Last time I was there, they had some issues with the DOH regarding violations, but just checked DOH web site and they got an "A" with only 7 violation points, which is quite stellar for any restaurant.

Ok, can you help? My husband loves lamb saag. He had a meh experience with an order of it from Baluchis, so I took the opportunity to try to convert him to Kinara. He was actually revolted--apparently the quality of the lamb in the lamb saag (not that he expected gourmet moist succulence) was extremely poor to the point of inedibility, and now he refuses to order from there again (FYI--I thought it was good Indian food by PS standards). Any other recommendations in the neighborhood for a place that does a decent lamb saag or similar?
