Where to buy great honey cake and challah for rosh hashanah

we live in west Hollywood, but would be happy to go to the westside to buy a great honey cake and challah with raisins. We would appreciate your suggestions.

For those of you who celebrate the high holidays, Chag Sameach.

I think you can preorder those items at the Bagel Factory... I like their challah... including their whole wheat challah... I cannot speak for the honey cake since I've never ordered (or eaten) one... you should call to make sure they have what you're looking for...

I don't know if they make one with raisins, I know they do one in a spiral for the holidays - Diamond Bakery on Fairfax. LOVE their challah.

I'd also say the armenian raisin bread, which you get in a braid at Jons for maybe $2.50 is surprisingly nice.

As for honeycake? I'm not a huge fan. I'd actually suggest baklava, as you'd get the traditional honey, with a bit more fun : )
