Concert tonight at Staples with 86 yr old mom-- where to eat?

I'm taking Mom & a friend to see Tony Bennett tonight at Staples. The concert begins at 7pm.

Mom loves Prime Rib, so I though the Carvery would be great for a quick bite before the concert. I'm totally unfamilar with LA Live & Staples area. How much walking is involved? Can you park close to both or do I have to move the car?
Mom's very capable of walking, but she is 86!

Thanks in advance for your help!

You're all too cute. Probably going to eat somewhere mundane in the valley. Thanks for the good suggestions, next time Hubs and I make an event downtown, I'll have these ideas in my pocket!

I promise I'll keep my mouth shut after this, but I took a friend/client to dinner at the bowl and we ordered off of their menu - the food was very good. Just a thought.... You can order right off of their web site. And, save the $ for tipping you parking lot person to put you in the "right" place so you and your mom aren't waiting after the show.

They are going to Staples, not the Bowl.

My first choice is also Roy's but if that is too far Flemings Steak House, Katsuya and Rock' n Fish are just next door at LA Live and fit what you might be looking for. You will not have to move your car, Staples is just across the street.

The thought of an 86 year old mom at Katsuya just tickles me to death.

My Mom is in her 90's and she likes Katsuya. (but she would pick Roy's first).

What about Cicada if it's still around? The room is SO vintage and timeless? The food (and, gee, obviously I haven't been in a long time), was wonderful. And, it's super close to Staples. Just a thought.

If the OP thinks Roy's is not walkable, then Cicada is definitely out of the question distance-wise.

How about Roy's? Certainly within walkable distance to Staples.

Not close enough...I think to minimize the unknown factor we'll eat in the valley. Maybe near Universal or the edge of Studio City.
              Suggestions?

Any other suggestions (coming from the valley) are also appreciated. Mom's a meat eater but our friend only eats fish & chicken and I'm gluten free. I'm trying to accommodate everyone's preferences. Suggest away...!
