Sweet Waters Steak House, Westfield
Last night, I went to Sweet Waters Steak House in Westfield with 2 work colleagues.
To start, I had the crab cake and my colleagues had a Caesar salad and a house salad. The crab cake was tasty, but the accompanying horseradish sauce was bland (I couldn’t even detect the horseradish).
I had a 16 oz rib eye steak, and my colleagues had filet mignon and "cowboy" steak (which I think is a rib eye with bone still attached). I requested my steak rare but it came medium-rare; my colleagues requested theirs medium-rare and they came medium. Nevertheless, my steak was tender, juicy, and flavorful. It came with a sauce on the side that I didn’t care for… but a sauce was unnecessary so I was not concerned.
We skipped dessert.
Service was good – unobtrusive, but quickly available when wanted.
Total cost including tip was about $230 for the three of us.
I enjoyed the meal, but probably won’t be back soon because prices are somewhat high.
