Would like to introduce my kid to Indian Cuisine. I know there are two buffets. Mirage on Gulf To Bay and Fifth Element on Tampa Road.
WOuld appreciate any feedback on either place. My experience with this cuisine is limited so I have no idea where to start. ;0)

Laziz isn't bad, but if you can drive out to Tampa I like Jai Ho better than the other Indian restaurants I have been to in the area. If you go on a weekend they have a really fantastic buffet so your son can try a lot of different things. The weekday buffet is good, too. The food is very fresh and varied, some hot and some mild, both vegetarian and meat dishes. They often have South Indian dishes like uttapam and dosa, which you don't find at other buffets.

Mirage is not an Indian restaurant. It is a Persian/Arabic restaurant. They do put on a nice buffet, however. They have a mix of meat and veg items, subtly spiced.

I haven't been to the Fifth Element, but have heard it is good.

Deeya, at Tri-City Plaza, on East Bay at US 19, near the Largo/Clearwater border, has a real nice lunch buffet, and would be another choice. Theirs is a little bit larger than the typical area Indian lunch buffet. They often also have at least one spicier dish.
