Interesting delivery on Upper West Side
Hello hounds! I'm visiting family on the Upper West (around 88th and Riverside). They have small children, so going out is difficult and they don't get to explore much. But they'd like to get delivery tomorrow night, and are interested in trying something new. I'm personally hoping to get some of the kind of food I crave in NYC: strongly flavoured and unusual things I can't get back at home in Boston, like Xinjiang or Bajan or Madagascar food. I know the Upper West isn't quite the mecca for interesting food that, say, Queens or the Lower East are, but I'm wondering if there's still something around. Are there any places that deliver that sort of food in the neighbourhood? (Or at least do it takeout?) Failing that, would there at least be places that do more common kinds of food (say Thai or Jamaican or Ethiopian) with good strong flavours and authentic heat levels?
(The nanny is making food for the kids, so we don't need a place that has a special menu for them or anything - this will be for the adults, who are adventurous in food tastes, just not ready to go very far.)
