Any suggestions on a good place to get broasted chicken? Bread Bites was my go to place but they are closing on Monday.

Best (and only outside of the Col, I believe) is at the navy base store, corner of Rosecrans and Nimitz (I believe).

One is *supposed* to be military, but it's pretty well-known one can walk right in and get some chicken. And it's worth the federal rap!

I've not been in a couple years, let us know how it turns out.

Is there a eating area like Costco or are you suppose to take it home and eat it like Vons?

Jimmy's in Santee serves official Broaster chicken.

Thanks for the tip! Is it like the Bread Bite chicken?

Yes. One of few other places which served authentic Broaster chicken.

That website doesn't mention Jimmy's, but maybe Santee is more than 30 miles from me. It does mention:

          SAM'S PLACE
          141 LOMAS SANTA FE
          SOLANA BEACH CA 92075
          Phone: 858-755-3401

I love knowing this because broasted chicken is one of my guilty pleasures.

IMO, as far as chicken goes, the best way to get a juicey fried chicken.
