Post Theatre "Wicked" Saturday Night Dinner Place Suggestion / Help

Hi everyone,

This is my first time to London and we are going there to celebrate my bf's birthday this November.

We are catching Wicked on Saturday evening. Am wondering where to go for supper after.

I'm thinking of placing a J Sheekey reservation at around 11pm (giving us enough time to get there). Do you have any better restaurants to suggest?

Thanks for your input.

Cheers!

You can't go wrong with J. Sheekey. I think Deux Salons also does post-theatre meals and the food there is very good. People who do late dining will know better than I who doesn't do it very often at all. I'm not sure about the Opera Tavern in Covent Garden or some other good places.

Thanks Zuriga1 - the problem is that I've read some reviews on Tripadvisor that reflected badly on J.Sheekey in terms of their service. So was wondering if fellow foodies here have anything to say to that.

You can read more here and maybe it will help you decide about Sheekey. I haven't been there in quite awhile but service was OK on the evening we had a meal.

I recently had good service and great Dover sole.

I just did a long weekend in London, and after exhaustive research, selected Opera Tavern as one of my meals- it was the best meal of the trip- everything there was delicious, especially the burger, which has bits of iberico pork in it. Other dishes that were fantastic were the lamb and chicken- if you're not a meat eater, sorry, I didn't have anything healthy ;-)
