Walking Distance Anaheim Convention Center - Dinner - nice but not too expensive.

Hi all,

Looking for a place to have a dinner for about 20 within walking distance of the Anaheim Convention Center. It looks like there are a lot of options in the Steakhouse category (Ruth's Chris, etc.) as well as the Overpriced category (Catana, Roy's).

Is there anything in walking distance that might fit the bill--maybe something like an Il Fornaio or something, with a range of prices--not just $25-$38 entrees?

I've been checking some of the Anaheim threads, and I realize that this may be tough. Thanks in advance.

  1. Walking distance? Maybe Marri's; that's about it. Standard red-sauce Italian food. There's k'ya Street Fare in the Hotel Ménage, but that's not really walking distance; it's just about the last hotel headed north in the district.

thanks das ubergeek. you are the man with the plan in orange county!! is the restaurant nice inside? Like with tablecloths and stuff? This is for my mom who will be hosting some professionals after a convention event. It should be nice, but as I said, she doesn't want to break the budget.

Have you thought about having dinner inside Downtown Disney?

There is Catal, La Brea Bakery, Naples Ristorante E Pizzeria and Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen. There is also Napa Rose in the Californian Hotel, but this would be at the higher end of the budget.

There is the Anaheim Garden Walk also with a bunch of chains that might fit what you are looking for. Possibly Cheesecake Factory which has a wide range of options.

Mmmm, maybe tablecloths. It's sit-down service, and it's got that dark-Italian-restaurant-of-old thing going, but it's not "pipiris nais" (shmancy). Unfortunately your mom is going to have to either drive or pay for nice nice.
