I recently saw Philadelphia-based A&M Halal Food Truck featured on Food Network's The Best Thing I Ever Ate "Hidden Treasures" episode for their falafel omelette hoagie. The sandwhich looks amazing and I need to try it!

I've researched several websites that follow Philly food trucks and have asked people I know around town in an attempt to find where A&M Halal typically locates themselves. I've been told that they used to be in "Food Truck Alley" near Drexel just off of 31st and Market, but they are no longer there.

Does anyone know if they are still in business? If so, do you know where they may typically be found? Thanks for the help!

After seeing the piece on the food network last winter we found the A&M Halal Food truck behind the Drexel buildings off 31st and Market. The falafel omelette hoagie was fabulous. The people running the truck were very friendly and told us they were planning on opening a restaurant in Northeast Philadelphia. Unfortunately, when we went back a couple of months ago, the truck was no longer there and no one knew where it had gone. As we were leaving I noticed that a Thai food truck had a sandwich on the menu called something like "The Famous A&M Sandwich". We ordered the sandwich and were thrilled to find that it was the same delicious falafel omelette hoagie. I don't remember the name of the truck but it was one of the first trucks off the corner and it sold Thai food and different interesting curries. Good luck in your search. The sandwich is worth looking for.
