Browse button does nothing for me in IE8

When trying to post a photo, clicking on the "Browse" button to find and upload the file results in nothing happening for me. Works fine in Firefox so it must be some setting I have. Haven't figured it out yet, so I'm wondering if this is something anyone has heard about or experienced.

  1. Click to Upload a photo (10 MB limit)
  1. I obviously have some sort of active control disabled that allows the window to open. Can you tell me exactly what type of control it is (Java, Active X, etc)?

The button runs on plain Javascript as far as I know, and if that wasn't working then a lot more than just photo upload would be broken. IE is well known for its scripting quirks, but we were able to upload an image on IE8 this morning without any trouble. Are you using any plugins or other alterations to IE8?

No, no plug-ins that I know of but I have disabled most active content in my security settings. I reset my security settings to the default and re-enabled Javascript but still can't get the "Browse" window to open when I click the button.

But as I noted it works fine in Firefox so on the rare occasions I need to post a photo, I'll just use that. Obviously a quirk on my end so I'll just keep messing around with it until I figure it out.

Thanks -- if anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them.
