Zahav's salatim eggplant dish

Can someone tell me the name of the eggplant from Zahav's salatim selection? (It's not baba ganoush - its more like roasted eggplant and perhaps something else) I want to make it at home so any recipes would be great too. Thanks

I know of what you speak, My favorite salatim item. I would characterize as a compote-like, not a dip. Interesting to hear that it can be purchased as a grocery item. Wish one could order a small plate of whatever it is!

If you live near South Philly, Green Aisle Grocery on Passyunk Avenue supposedly carries it, but they were out the couple of times I stopped in for it.
