Help! I need to send a really nice fruit basket to the Stoneham/Medford area

I read an older thread that recommended Harry and David, but I need it to get there by the end of the week. I want to send a basket with whole pieces of fruit with some candy, crackers, jam, etc. Edible Arrangements is out because I don't want to be cut fruit. It is going to the family that owns the the largest provision supply company in New England as a sympathy gift. They know their food and I want it to be special. Thanks for your help.

    Try The Farmland in Wakefield. They have GREAT fruit baskets and could probably work with you on getting the item delivered within the time frame requested.

      Pairings in nearby Winchester can put together a very nice gift basket, and deliver it for free. They don't have fruit, but you can get wine, cheese, crackers, candy, cookies, jam, etc.

        Wilson Farm in Lexington also does fruit gift baskets.

        And I don't mean to hijack this into a cheese thread, but Formaggio also does baskets, mostly with (what else?) cheese.

          I'd go with Wilson Farms if fruit was the key ingredient, but you might also try a dried fuit and nut assortment from Fastachi...

          I know you asked for fruit, but...how about cheese? Wasiks's has some pretty great stuff (it's pricey, though);

          You'd probably have to call and see if they could assemble and deliver by week's end.

            Try Pemberton Market on Mass. Ave in Cambridge, or just go to their website:

              Have you sent/received one from Pemberton recently? An old thread from 2007 had a few unfavorable reviews for their baskets.
