    Easy. FIG.

FIG at 5. 5-6pm only. Tue-Sat. 50% off their entire menu, drinks and all, sans the Cote de boeuf for two.

My favorite HH spot in the area.

      dynamike:
i believe that Fig will be suspending this deal during DineLA week(s).
      check before going.

        + eleventy million on FIG

I know where I don't like: The Yard. The food is absolutely lacking.

your mistake was ordering food! the beer is among the best selection and value around, and i take my beer seriously.

That sounds good, but short! Santa Monica is pretty big. It may depend somewhat on the part. And do you care more about food or cheap drinks? There is a huge beer for 3 of 4 dollars at Sake House around 4th and (?) Broadway.

Here's a resource I love for HH and you can list by area:

This is Chowhound. Imo, discussions about great food/cuisine are paramount. For HH's with cheap drinks, Y3lp is more appropriate.

yes and no, y3lp is most appropriately never used by anyone for anything.

I have been to the Sonoma Wine Garden where I ended up on a Thursday evening. The frites and wine were a good deal.

Are you going for the food or the booze? I dont drink, so I concentrate on HH food. Fraiche has excellent food for HH. An amazing turkey burger for 6.00. another burger for 6.00, a truffle burger for 8. Pizzas, mussles and salads. Wilshire restaurant also has some great food on their HH menu.

While Fig's food is amazing, it is certainly not the best happy hour at the end of a work day, since their happy hour is one hour long only, and ends at 6PM. It's actually stressful to try to get there, and get food and drinks in time.

Best happy hour is probably Fraiche. Great menu, good wines on offer. Chaya Venice is another great happy hour, especially because it's all night. Tiato has a fantastic happy hour with really great food, and it's outside. Loews hotel's happy hour goes until 8PM, everything is $6, and the view can't be beat.

I like the Happy Hour at Typhoon.

I know this post is old, but I'll add to it anyway! I've been going to The Craftsman for Happy Hour. $5 cocktails & $5 mini burgers. Great vibe, great staff. Check it out!
