Reasonably priced in West Village or Hell's Kitchen

Good Morning,

I am looking for a reasonably priced dinner place (entrees $10-15 range) for five people in either the West Village (preferred) or Hell's Kitchen. It would also be great if this place took reservations.

Cuisine is pretty option - preferably not Asian or Mexican type food.

I really appreciate any suggestions!

I love ChaPa's Noodle and Grill on W.52, I believe. The noodle bowl was huge and about $8.00! Wish I lived near by so I could go more often.

You can do $15 at 5 Napkin Burger for sit down with reservations too in Hell's Kitchen.
      I love that place.

It is a little bit harder to find good options in that price range, if you cut out Asian and Mexican cuisines. (For instance, Galanga is good for Americanized Thai and Asean for southeast Asian. In my opinion, these are two of the area's better restaurants in your price range.) But you have a few decent options:

        Otto Pizzeria
        Panca (Peruvian)
        Westville (no reservations)
        Meskerem Ethiopian

Of these, Otto and Panca have the most pleasant decor, but Otto is very loud. Westville is cozy and very small / tight, so less ideal for a group of five, though they will seat you when they have room. Meskerem is dark and underground, with a slight sense of dinginess. I happen to like the food, but I haven't eaten much Ethiopian, except in DC and NYC.

          Two others:

Moustache (Middle Eastern; very small and seating for five will be tight, but doable)
Malatesta (Italian; doable if you order carefully)

Thanks all! This is super helpful. Though I've lived in the city for years I still can't wrap my head around calling a $15 dinner "cheap eats."

We're going to look into all of these. Thanks again!

What about pizza? $15 an entree sounds like "cheap eats" to me, especially if you want table service and not takeout/counter service.
