yes i still like it. But they don't have the izakaya dishes i love at Izayoi.
Looked up their facebook page, and they say they will post there when they find a place. Which is GREAT.

cool, i'll have to check it out too.
though shibucho (and i know you may be against this), also makes a mean eggplant parmeggiano.
thanks for the heads up.
i like to use Yakitoriya on Sawtelle as an almost makeshift izakaya, the right hand side of the menu has a collection of dishes that are not the eponymous skewers that go great with beers or sake.
and i really bincho in redondo, but sadly it's pretty far away. as another hound mentioned it always seems like it's three steps from closing, sadly, and the fact that when it's closed in the daytime, since there is no sign there, it looks like it is permanently closed.

bincho is great but one of the most depressing restaurants I've been in. feels nothing like an izakaya.
they need a new location ASAP

if you mean rowdy, rambunctious, and raw, you are correct. It is definitely a little too staid at times. Though the dishes are great. Yeah, but you are definitely correct on the atmosphere. Though the food is very very very salty in my humble opinion at times, but I believe that's the way it should be.
some of my favorite dishes: those spicey fried chicken wings, japanese fried chicken, the shrimp dumplings, the rice salmon plum ball, and their miso eggplant.
