Taiwanese hot dogs with a rice 'bun'

were had at the Telus Taiwan Fest we had on Granville at the beginning of September.

I loved them and wonder if anybody knows where else I can get them.

Apparently they were at the Richmond Night Market also, so they must be available somewhere.

Just saw this post and thought you'd might like to know that there's a restaurant in LA called Java Cafe in City of Industry that sells it! They have a lot of other Taiwanese night market favorites too.

If you're ever in the area, you should try it - very authentic :)

Seems the ones at the Taiwan Fest were supplied by the UBC Formosa Reality Club per:

        Thanks kinnickinnik.

I saw that too but it turns out they are an organization that does various events and maybe serves food at them.

I was looking more for a stall or restaurant.

I wonder if Red Persimmon at Crystal Mall (Bby) food court might have them ?

Not the same, I know, but I believe Japadog on Robson has a dog with a rice bun. Might somewhat fill the gap...

Not that I'm into rice flour-based buns, but I wonder if Taschia on MacDonald St near King Edward makes them ?

                Thanks grayelf.

I was looking at that. I wonder if they'd make me one without the attendant yakiniku.

                  To anyone who is interested

I e mailed this Formosa Reality Club. They said that to their knowledge they didn't know anyone else that was making them and that's why THEY made them.

They will keep me posted as to the next event.

God, the lengths we go to get food we like!

I saw them at Crystal Mall a few months ago -- not sure if at Red Persimmon or other Taiwanese place.
