Chinese at Camelback & 35th Avenue?

Fida Sep 19, 2011 05:20 PM

I met someone Chinese - so Chinese that I could barely understand her - and naturally asked if she had any restaurants she reommended. She didn't think anything in Phoenix was very good, but mentioned one place she thought was passable for Americans, possibly around Camelback and 35th Avenue. Does this ring a bell?

She was probably talking about Great Wall, on the NE corner of 35th Ave and Camelback.

Haven't been there since last winter, but the dim sum was still good then.

Agree that dim sum is good, dishes off the menu were average to average minus.

We used to like this place a lot, but apparently the chefs have changed. Last time we had dinner there, about four months ago, our previously favorite dishes (duck soup with fun, ma po tofu) had lost their flavor. Maybe dim sum is still good? We've been meaning to try it again.
