Nashville hounds...advice needed...

OK here's the drill. Seven guys from the Midwest headed to Nashville (mainly for a long, live music weekend) are in need of a spot for dinner on a Friday evening. Looking for good food and a better than good wine list (a few oenophiles in the group!). I've perused the threads and am trying to drill in a little more...we're not a loud group but were not going to be sitting there sipping our wine either! A lively setting would probably make the most sense for the troop...all and any suggestion would be appreciated! We're staying near 18th and Broadway...although transportation is not an issue...more concerned with getting the place right!

  1. All the places that will fit your bill are within easy reach of your location.

Arguably the best restaurant in town -- and one that isn't terribly expensive -- is City House. Good wine list, emph. on Italian with some domestic, but just not a ton by the glass.

    Also check out:
    Flyte
Cabana (a little more lively than its sister restaurant, Sunset Grill)
    ChaChah
    Bound'ry
Kayne Prime (if you have some $$$ to spend)

For other types of craft alcohol concoctions, perhaps before dinner proper ... also City House, and
    Holland House
    Whiskey Kitchen
    Patterson House

    1. Bricktop is very nice. Broaway is fun if you like cold beer and sports. Good luck.
