If today was your last day on earth what would be your last meal?

  1. Both are on the opposite side of the spectrum from eachother, but either:

    1) Citronelle braised short ribs. Holy moly - best meat I've ever eaten. or..
    2) Cafe Greek combo plate in downtown DC. It's a hole in the wall that closes at 4 PM, but it's the best homestyle greek food I've ever had in my life.

Ahh! I meant Greek Deli! Here's all the info:

        It's amazing. Amazing, amazing, amaZing.

    1. I would ask my mom to cook me something. While restaurants are nice, there's nothing like mom's cooking. It would be fitting that she made my first and last meals in this world.

      1. A huge huge meal at Marcel's.

        1. So many choices, so little time! First, it would be a l-o-n-g, slow meal. Would probably start
with foie gras sauteed with port and figs followed by fresh pasta with white truffles; lamb - rib chops or roasted leg, rare; risotto with morels; roasted asparagus; broiled summer tomatoes
with great olive oil and balsamic; a plate of stinky cheeses with mostarda, and Bundernuss (sp?) a wonderful dessert we had at Narsai's in CA with my first beerenausleuse (to die for). A meal like this might just kill you anyway!

Of course, a lot of these things are not in season at the same time so the whole thing is

          1. I know you are looking for restaurant places, but for me it would be eating steamed crabs on the back porch with family. Cold beer, shrimp and crabs.....actually that's this weekends menu....hope thats not a sign of things to come!

Sounds like a great meal to me it doesn't have to be a restaurant it could be cooked by an old lady in shoe - good food is good food

            2. Just a quick request that everyone keep this thread focused on meals in Washington / Baltimore rather than more generally, since that's the area covered on this board. Thanks.
