So many choices, so little time! First, it would be a l-o-n-g, slow meal. Would probably start
with foie gras sauteed with port and figs followed by fresh pasta with white truffles; lamb - rib chops or roasted leg, rare; risotto with morels; roasted asparagus; broiled summer tomatoes
with great olive oil and balsamic; a plate of stinky cheeses with mostarda, and Bundernuss (sp?) a wonderful dessert we had at Narsai's in CA with my first beerenausleuse (to die for). A meal like this might just kill you anyway!
Of course, a lot of these things are not in season at the same time so the whole thing is
Both are on the opposite side of the spectrum from eachother, but either:
1) Citronelle braised short ribs. Holy moly - best meat I've ever eaten. or..
2) Cafe Greek combo plate in downtown DC. It's a hole in the wall that closes at 4 PM, but it's the best homestyle greek food I've ever had in my life.
