Dinner on or close to strip

Staying at the Palm just off the strip next weekend. Looking for good chow in the vicinity. Familiar with Bouchon and thats the price range I'm looking for. Hoping to branch out, tho.

I'm sure others will ask, so what type of cuisine? Will you have a rental car and are you looking for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner?

I'm pretty flexible- bistro food, asian, anything but chop houses. Dinner, cost not an object as long as its GOOD.

This may be conventional wisdom, but I can't recommend Lotus of Siam (Thai) and Raku (Japanese aburiya). The latter is relatively close to the Palms, and the former can be accessed easily by car via Desert Inn Rd. (which goes under the Strip. These are my two favorite places to eat in Las Vegas at any price. You can eat very inexpensively at either but can spend more depending upon your protein and liquor preferences.

          You "can't" recommend these?

Or maybe can't recommend them enough. I ate at LOS last year and absolutely loved it. The Pad Thai was some of the best I've had, and I can't remember the chicken dish we had, but both my wife and I loved it. As for Raku, it's on my to do list this November.

Yikes, I need an editor. As Bran surmised, there is an "enough" missing. Sorry.
