Downtown Italian for a birthday.

Can anyone suggest a good italian place for my wifes birthday. Price is not an issue, nor is old school vs new school, in fact, old school might be fun! My only criteria (other than good food) is that the place has a fun festive vibe. Nothing too stuffy .
Thanks

When is the birthday? This may impact your ability to get reservations. Where have you been already? Scarpetta? Babbo? Maialino? Locanda Verde?

This coming Sunday? Sunday four weeks from now? A specific date is more helpful...

I just checked and Scarpetta has tables for 2 that night on OpenTable right now at 5:30pm, 6pm, and 6:30pm. That would be my choice if you haven't gone before.

Kathryn has good advice regarding info, the more you give the better you'll get back. That being said, without knowing more, I'd say you can check out Crispo.
