  1. Not sure what you are looking for but if you want a good ole down and dirty hamburger there is the Brown Bear in Pentwater on Hancock Street. The place is a dive but the staff is friendly, the portions are large and usually pretty good. I will say we have been a few times when the burgers were a tad overcooked but they corrected the order immediately.

Don't expect anything fancy...it's not! If you are in the mood for a friendly small town restaurant with a decent burger..it's the place to go. Our cottage is nearby and it's a regular stop on nearly every visit.

Oops..forgot to mention Gull Landing. It's a decent place that is open year round as well. I'd stick to the perch or sandwiches.

Pentwater is unfortunately not a dining metropolis..so take these recommendations in the spirit that they are given... Remember that you are eating in an awfully small town and they are VERY middle of the road type places.

In Manistee the only place, aside from fast food that I've eaten is the Boathouse Grill. It right on the river and has great outdoor seating during warm weather. Food is decent traditional american food..nothing to rave about but nice location!

Thanks. We have a cottage in Ludington so I know kind of what to expect. Ludington has some decent food, but we've eaten pretty much everywhere and are looking for something new. The Brown Bear sounds good. We'll probably try it this weekend.
