Breakfast in or near Lebanon CT

javaandjazz Sep 19, 2011 02:38 AM

Meeting some friends from Storrs in Lebanon saturday morning for the antiques show on the green. Don't know a thing about Lebanon. We will be coming in from the Waterbury area. Any breakfast recommendations? Thanks!

My home town! The Log Cabin Restaurant does breakfast, I've never had breakfast there, but it's close to the green. http://logcabinct.com/ Or I'm sure you could find some place in Colchester or Marlborough on your way down.

If you want a casual but good breakfast, the Lebanon American Legion will be selling egg sandwiches, with farm fresh local eggs. Hope you enjoy your day. My husband and I call it "Goof off Day" because now all our hay is in and we love antiques.

Thanks, looks like we are heading to a place in Willimantic called Nita's.

Colchester, although lacking in variety of cuisine, does offer a few good breakfast places.. For somthing quick and fresh, Tim's Bistro is great. They have breakfast sandwichs, good bagels and flavored cream cheeses and fresh baked goods. My favorite thing to do is visit Colchester Bakery if you are looking to bring some great baked goods with you. Family Pizza has a great breakfast with a ton of variety. And Diane's hidden in the Westchester shopping plaza behind Germano's has really good omlets.
