Dining with 2 teenagers; one a picky eater!
Would love some suggestions for meals (especially dinners) with two teenagers. My daughter (who will be 18) is easy and loves most types of food and will try anything. My son, on the other hand, is a very picky eater. He will be 16 when we make this trip. He has Asperger's Syndrome so he is very particular about things. He has been going to restaurants since he was a baby so he is fine in a casual setting or a fine dinng atmosphere, but I just don't want to go to a fabulous place where there is nothing on the menu he will eat! He is mostly a meat eater; steak, chicken and burgers. He'll eat spaghetti and meatballs sometimes (usually prefers pasta with butter on it). Very limited with seafood (he'll eat fried shrimp!) but with seafood restaurants they'll usually have a steak on the menu so we can go that route with him. We are going to be doing the theater probably four nights so dinner before a 7:30 or 8:00 show. We are staying on 58th between 5th and 6th. Suggestions for other areas are welcome too! Thanks.
Palm West could work, but it is loud as are many places in the theater district. Not sure if that is an issue. My son has similar issues and it is one of his favorites.

Oceana is a wonderful seafood restaurant between your hotel and the theater district. Although I doubt they have fried shrimp, I'm pretty certain they have a steak.

Keens. It's a steakhouse. It's old at atmospheric too.

You might enjoy La Bonne Soupe, which is close to your hotel - 55th between 5th and 6th -- and, while not going to blow your socks off, is comforting, tasty and good value. They have steak frites, hamburgers, soups and fondue. Also nice for lunch! I've brought lots of very conservative eaters there and everyone has enjoyed it.
