Bring your bullhorn!!!!!

Just returned from Mima a restaurant in Irvington located where Red Hat used to be. The food was better than average with good starters and mains although slightly pricey. Mima is without question the noisiest restaurant I’ve eaten at in years. You will need to bring a bullhorn to carry on a conversation and even that will not guarantee success. The noise level overrides the food and decent service. We raced through our meal and left immediately after finishing our mains. No coffee. No dessert. No return!!

Red Hat did not close. It is alive and well. Red Hat used to be at 63 Main St. Those of us who love Red Hat remember the old location with great memories.

    2. A friend has a reservation at Red Hat for next Saturday. Had not heard that they closed.......

      1. Ok, I just googled this. It is not where "Red Hat used to be." Red Hat still is. Red Hat is at 1 Bridge Street and Mima is at 63 Main. I don't know what it used to be, but it was not Red Hat. Whew!

        1. The OP meant the old Red Hat LOCATION. It did not close. It moved, and, as mollster said, many of us fondly miss the old Red Hat, which is now Mima.

BTW, Mollster, many on this board just LOVE noisy restaurants. So Mima will not bother any of those folks.
